How To Format Hard Reset Sony Xperia Z Android phone

Hard-reset is equivalent to formatting a device i.e you delete all the data that is inside the phone memory (also known as inbuilt memory) and the handset comes back to its original factory settings.

Hard-reset is required in the following situations:
  • When some of the apps do not function and you cannot remove them.
  • When your handset is pattern locked. You have forgotten the pattern aswell as the gmail accountID/password associated with that device.
  • When your handset becomes too slow.
  • When some of the apps do not function and you cannot remove them.
 There are 2 methods of doing a hard reset. First method is by doing it from the phone’s settings. While the second method is from the recovery menu.

First method: This is the most simple method and is possible only if you are able to access the menu options.

1. Go to the settings option in the menu.
2. Search for the ‘BackupAd Restore’ option and select it.
3. Now select the option ‘Factory Data Reset’
4. Now select the option ‘Reset Phone’.
5. The device may ask for the confirmation from your end by the message ‘Erase Everything’. Confirm and your gadget will start the process. It will restart now and you are done!

Second method:  This method is for those who cannot access the menu due to pattern lock or booting related problems.

1. Switch off your Xperia Z. Its better if you remove your battery and insert it again.

2. Keeping the device being switched off, press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons. Keep these two buttons pressed and then press and hold the Power button.

3. Keeping these three buttons pressed will bring a menu on the screen. Navigate to the recovery option with Volume Up and Down buttons. Select the recovery option with the power button.

4. Now you will see an Android logo on the screen. Press and hold the volume up and volume down buttons, which will bring your device to the recovery menu.

5. The recovery menu will have many options in it. You will need to search for an option like Wipe data/ Factory reset. Now press power button to select it.

 The process will start and complete in less than a minute and your phone will restart automatically. Now you have successfully performed hard rest of your Sony Experia Z.

Requirements:

 

1. Sony Xperia C (C2305) smartphone with minimum 80% battery level

 

2. A Windows PC

 

3. A Micro USB Cable

 

4. Rooting package

 

How To Root Root Sony Xperia C (C2305) 

 

1. First download the rooting package your computer.

 

2. Once you downloaded the package, just unzip the package and save them in your desktop.

 

3. After that enable the USB debugging option in your phone by navigating to the path Settings > Developer Options. In case, you could not see the developer option in your phone just go to “About Phone” and tap it 7 times on build number, there you can find that option.

 

4. After that connect your Sony Xperia C (C2305) to the computer by using USB cable.

 

5. Once your computer recognizes your device, just run the Sony Xperia C Root.exe that you have extracted earlier and save the same in your desktop.

 

6. Allow the rooting package to root your smartphone. [post_ad]

success message : That’s it. After finishing the process, your phone should have the root access. If you have doubt whether it is rooted or not, just download the root checker app from Google Play Store and check the status.
