How To Setup And Use iPhone 5s Touch ID Fingerprint Sensor video

How To Setup And Use iPhone 5s Touch ID Fingerprint Sensor video

Little over a week ago at their September media event, Apple announced the new iPhone 5s. Along with an impressive upgrade list to it’s predecessor, the iPhone 5, the 5s came with a feature many people had bookmarked as too outlandish for Apple to include. This feature is, of course, biometric fingerprint scanning integration, or as Apple call it: Touch ID. The premise of this new addition is simple, make unlocking and authorizing App Store & iTunes purchases as quick and easy as possible, which will result in a better experience for users. I happened to purchase the iPhone 5s earlier this morning, and I can honestly say I’m not disappointed at all with Touch ID.

I’ve been playing around with the new biometric implementation, and from what I can tell it’s fairly reliable and very secure. The software looks to be erring on the side of caution, and seems to block people if the print is slightly wrong, rather than allow people access if it’s somewhat correct. This is most definitely the right approach when we are talking about people’s data security.

When you first set up Touch ID, you’ll have to go through a rigorous setup procedure where you scan your chosen finger dozens of time to ensure the software has enough data on the finger you’re using (have no fear you can set up up to 5!). During this process, it’s important to make sure you cover every angle you think you’ll be unlocking your phone at, as it really is quite sensitive. If you’d like to see a full video walkthrough and demo of the process, one can be found below.

In the video below, you’ll have noticed that I was rejected by the Touch ID software a few times. I believe this was because when setting up the Touch ID fingerprint, I wasn’t diverse enough in the angles of my thumbprint that I supplied. After setting up the same thumbprint again, it seemed to work no problem. This particular form of security for a phone still felt slightly gimmicky to me, until I used it to authorize an application download. Now, where I used to have to continuously type out my 12-character password, I can simply scan my finger and save myself the time. It only seems like natural progression that we would get third party integration for a service like this. Just imagine being able to authorize a PayPal payment, or an NFC transaction, with simply a touch of your finger. Unfortunately Apple doesn’t play nice with the term ‘open APIs’, so we’ll have to see how far that gets.

how to setup custom domain bought from Godaddy to Blogger

how to setup custom domain bought from Godaddy to Blogger

Blogger Custom domains are more like a Vanity URL for your BlogSpot blog. It will allow you to create a better and easy to remember URL. (for example : from yourblog1234.blogspot.com to yourblog.com)
Blogger allows you to seamlessly integrate with any domain name. To start off you have to make your GoDaddy domain to point to Googles servers. This simple tutorial will guide you step by step with screenshots and instructions to make it easier for you.

Blogger Custom Domain on GoDaddy

  1. Buy a domain name from GoDaddy.com. Domain name are not free but they cost around 10-12$ per year. While buying make sure that you dont buy the hosting or website builder packages from GoDaddy as these are not required for setting up a Blogger blog.
  2. Once you have bought the domain name of your choice, login to your GoDaddy account and go to the domains section as shown in the below screenshot
    godaddy-domains
Now click on the "Domain Details" of the domain which you have bought.
    godaddy-domain-details
  3. Go to the "DNS Zone File" Section and click on "Add Record"godaddy-dns-zone-file
  4. Fill in the details for the CNAME record as shown in the image and click "Add Another"
    godaddy-cname-record
The details to use are :
    Record Type : CNAME
    Host : www
    Points to : ghs.google.com
    TTL : 1 hour
  5. Now we have to create 4 more records in a similar fashion. The details to fill up while creating the records are as below
Sl # Record Type Host Points to TTL
    1 A @ 216.239.32.21 1 Hour
    2 A @ 216.239.34.21 1 Hour
    3 A @ 216.239.36.21 1 Hour
    4 A @ 216.239.38.21 1 Hour
Once done, you should see only 4 records under the A Host section and those should be:
    godaddy-a-records
Any other A record shown under the A Host section with Host value set to @ should be deleted using the Delete icon under Actions(This step is very important)
  6. Now click on "Save Changes
    godaddy-save-changes
You are now Done with GoDaddy settings. You now have to configure your Blogger blog to publish to this new domain.

Publishing BlogSpot blog to Custom Domain

Now we will configure the Blogger blog to publish itself to the new Custom Domain name.
  1. Login to your Blogger Dashboard and Navigate to Settings > Basic and click on the Setup a 3rd party URL for your blog link
    third-party-url-blogger
  2. Provide your Custom Domain URL and click the Save Button
third-party-url-settings-blogger When you click save, you might get an error like the one shown below
    verification-error-blogger
This means that Blogger wants us to create another CNAME record on GoDaddy to verify that you are the owner of the domain. The values for Host and Points To should match what’s shown on the Blogger error. An example based on the above error is shown below.
    verification-cname-godaddy-example
Click Finish and Save Changes once again. Now go back to Blogger and click on the "Save" button once again. This time the verification error should go away.
  3. Now click on the "Edit" link next to the Blog Address
    edit-blog-address
Now select the redirection Option and save the settings Once again
    redirect-domain-root-blogger
  4. Now your blog should be visible at your new domain.
The DNS changes which we had made(the A and CNAME records) might take some time to propagate. So give it 24 hrs in case you arent able to see the changes immediately. In case you need more help, you can always contact us via comments, contact form or via social media channels :-)
Note : The screenshots are based on the GoDaddy and Blogger interfaces at the time of writing this post. In case you find any differences, do let us know so that we can update the post and help others.

The best ftp site according to me is
http://www.drivehq.com
1) Goto this site, and click on the sign up button in first section where it says "Online File Storage and Sharing"
The Sign up Page should look like this:

http://lh6.ggpht.com/_ZzQjrew_8Nw/S1yY29h-zQI/AAAAAAAAAE4/Q0a7Rt65r9I/s400/ccccccc.jpg

The Folder Should show up like this-

http://lh3.ggpht.com/_ZzQjrew_8Nw/S1yZPttAswI/AAAAAAAAAFA/m2mcu4dSgbI/s400/dddd.jpg

The FTP part is now done.

Remote foler: logs (you shouldve made this folder in your FTP account by now)
Port: 21 (This is automatically given)
Username: [your username goes here]
Password: [your password goes here]
Once done, click on TEST
click "OK"

Now goto Control (this buttons just above the FTP button).
Chose the following settings

How To Setup Video Calling on Facebook

How To Setup Video Calling on Facebook

Soon after the Google’s launch of latest social-networking ventureGoogle+Facebook announced that its 750 million users will now be able to make video calls on the site, powered by Skype. Video calling on Facebook is free to use, but unlike Google’s new social network,Google+ hangoutsgroup video chatting is not available.

But for non-techno-savvy users, enabling Facebook’s new social video calling feature might not be a straightforward affair. If you are looking for an easy way to enable video calling feature on any user’s Facebook account, it is essential to install Facebook video chat plugin for your web browser. In addition, Windows users also have to ensure that they have the latest version of Microsoft DirectX installed.

Step-by-step Guide to Enable Facebook Video Calling (Powered by Skype)

1) Login to your Facebook account and open Facebook’s Video Calling Setup page —http://facebook.com/videocalling
2) Click on the “Get Started” icon.
3) At this junction, you will be asked to select any of your Facebook contacts who are online.
4) Select any of your online contacts to open the chat box with “Video” symbol.
5) Now click on the video symbol to raise a pop up asking if you want to “Set up Video calling”.
6) Click on the Setup, which will ask you to save a plug-in. [assuming that you have NOT already installed this
plugin]
7) Install this plug-in to enable Facebook video chat in your browser.
That’s it. Now, you are ready and equipped to start using Skype powdered video chat in Facebook. All you need to do from here on is to just open the chat box and click on the Video symbol to start video chatting (calling) with your online Facebook friends. The video call will be started as soon as your friend answer.
You can see if a friend is available by entering their name at the bottom of the chat list on the right side of the page. Friends that appear online in chat are also available for video calls. A green dot next to a friend’s name means they’re online and a moon icon means they’re online but inactive. Just like with chat, only your confirmed friends can call you on Facebook. You also have the option to ignore any call you receive.

However, according to Facebook some users may face issues with video calling because of hardware and/or software incompatibility. Facebook video calling is supported for the latest versions of Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Internet Explorer web browsers.
If you face problems using this feature, you should probably check if any other program is currently (simultaneously) using your webcam.
Some other issues with Facebook video calling include the inferior quality of the video, as compared to Skype. Also there is no way to resize the video window. Also, Facebook video does not work with mobile phone yet… you need a computer and wi-fi connection for best results.
