How i Rooted my Tecno N7 Root any Chinese Android running Android 4 0 ICS 4 1 JB

How i Rooted my Tecno N7 Root any Chinese Android running Android 4 0 ICS 4 1 JB

Here’s an easy to follow tutorial on how to root any Chinese Android device you got there. It uses the rooting script Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry, which you can find at XDA. This is confirmed working for any MediaTek MT6577 devices running Android 4.0 or up, even devices with the dual core Qualcomm S4 procie can be rooted by this as long as it is on Android 4.x.
I first tested it on rooting a Cherry Mobile Titan, and it works. On this tutorial, I had used the method on my HDC Galaxy Note 2.

First, you need to properly install the ADB drivers. To do that, you must download and install first an app called Moborobo. Link here.
After installing the app, on your phone, enable USB Debugging by going to Settings > Development.
Connect your device and open the Moborobo app. Moborobo will attempt to install the necessary drivers. Just allow it to do the changes on your computer and if it succeed, you’ll see something like this:
Moborobo-installed-drivers-500x211
Moborobo can read your connected Android device
You can now exit Moborbo. Be sure to close it completely and not just minimize it on the system tray.
Download this file. Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18_2.7z
It is the rooting script. Extract it anywhere. You’ll something like this:
2Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18_2.7z
Execute the RunMe.bat file if you are on Windows. A command prompt will open.
3
Root with Restore by Bin4ry
Just enter 1 as your option. It will now do its task. You’ll now see something like this on your device. Click restore and wait for the process to finish.
4
Restore data, ignore that encryption password thing
While on the command prompt window, you’ll see this:
5
rooting….
Your device will restart, and if you see the SUPER SU icon on your apps drawer it means that you had successfully rooted the phone.
7
SUPER SU
Checking root access with the Root Checker App:
Rooted-HDC-Galaxy-Note-2-PRO
Rooted HDC Galaxy Note 2 PRO
It is really easy on these Android 4.x devices now. I just posted this so I can just use this as reference for the queries on how to root such Chinese-made Android smartphones. While on lower version of Android, such as 2.3.6 Gingerbread, its a bit tricky as it needs some hacking with the boot.img if the SuperOneClick or UnlockRoot doesnt works. We’ll cover that up on the next update.
As they say, rooting voids the warranty but it depends on where did you buy your Android phone. Root only when you think you really have to and already know why you need to do that. On the other note, this process isnt risky and there is nothing to fear in case you messed up with the steps. Still, do this at your own risk.

How to Stop Android Apps Running in Background

How to Stop Android Apps Running in Background

At times some apps running in background are not cool as it always results in high batter drainage, high data consumption and occassional lagging while playing games.

If you want to know which apps are running excessive background processes or want to stop apps running in the background entirely.

I have come up with a fix for this with this little guide using Greenify
Greenify

Greenify is an app hibernation app, that lets you put apps to sleep when youre not using them. Its basically an automated version of force closing or disabling apps every time you stop using them and then turning them back on when you need them. But doing that manually is a pain. Hence Greenify is one of the best app management apps around.

Download Greenify

To get the full benefits of Greenify you need root access.

Non-rooted users, for example, wont be able to automatically hibernate apps, but can simply flick a widget switch to put your apps to sleep (not a bad fix if you dont want to root your device). If youre serious about managing your background processes, Greenify is the tool you need.

Do you monitor your app processes? What tools do you use? Tell us about them in the comment box Below.

How to stop Android apps running in the background

How to stop Android apps running in the background

Many apps that run in the background are doing so for good reason: syncing, providing location data or otherwise doing what they were designed to do. But not always. If you want to know which apps are running excessive background processes or want to stop apps running in the background entirely, read on to find out How stop Android apps running in the background. Apps are great, but they need to be kept on a tight leash.

Process stats and battery usage

If you want to know which apps are running background processes and how power hungry they are, both in terms of processing and battery, Android has the following built-in monitoring options:

> Enable Developer Options by going to Settings > About Device and tapping the Build number until you are notified that

> Developer Options have been enabled.

> Go to Settings > Developer options > Process stats to see how much of the time your key apps are running. Tap any app to see how much RAM its using.

> Go to Settings > Battery then tap the individual apps to see how much battery theyre using.

Which apps should I stop running in the background?

Two big culprits of background memory and battery use are games youre not playing, and music players youre not using. If you cant see a logical reason for an app you know well to be running in the background, then you should probably close it.

As a general rule, you should leave most apps or services that start with the word Google running. Really essential services wont let you force stop them anyway, but you also shouldnt stop the following apps:

Google Search, Google Play services, Google Contacts Sync, Google Keyboard, Google Play Store

The Process stats list should give you a pretty good idea of which apps you want to leave running in the background based on how much you use them.

How to disable, stop and uninstall background apps

If you have an app that you think is using an unreasonable amount of processor power or seems to be running in the background way more than it should, then you can either:

Disable it in your App Manager by going to Settings > Applications > Application manager, tapping the app, then tapping Disable.

Since the Lollipop update, you can close recent apps easily by tapping the Recent Apps navigation button on your phone (to the right of the home button), then swiping left or right to close apps you ran recently.

Delete it from your phone by going to Settings > Applications > Application manager, tapping the app, then tapping Uninstall.

Or Force Stop it by going to Settings > Applications > Application manager, swiping right to the Running tab, tapping the app, then tapping Force Stop.

If you have no idea what an app or service is, then you probably shouldnt stop it, unless its really using up a lot of RAM or battery, and you dont mind risking your phone crashing.

Less crucial apps (left) can be uninstalled. Crucial system services (right) cant.
