How do i unsubscribe unwanted emails
How do i unsubscribe unwanted emails
Lets face it you get emails from people, places, and services for things you dont care much about. Maybe it was a restaurant mailing list so that you can earn a free appetizer. Or, perhaps you signed up for a music service that alerts you of uploads. Whatever it is, youre getting hit on a regular basis and youre first reaction is to delete them.
The problem is that simply deleting a message doesnt stop the problem, it just temporarily brings you peace of mind. Lets get proactive about it and stop them from coming altogether. Yes, were talking about unsubscribing. As the Gmail app for Android has evolved over time it continually improves with new features. One such option is the ability to unsubscribe to messages. Yes, you can let Google do the legwork of removing your name and email address from a database and mailing list. Fortunately for us, its a dead-simple process. Heres how to unsubscribe to emails in the Gmail app for Android.
1) In Gmail, open the email that youd like to unsubscribe from
2) In the top right corner of the screen youll see three dots tap them
3) You should see a drop-down menu of options including, Move To, Change Labels, Mark Important, etc.
Its here, in this menu, where youll occasionally find Unsubscribe as an option. Tap it and Google will make it so that youre not bothered by any more mail for this newsletter, update, or release.

Weve noticed that Google doesnt always provide the option but it seems to get smarter with time. Dont be discouraged if its not available for every single message; be thankful for the ones where it does show up. It sure beats hunting for some out-of-the-way link somewhere in an email.
